Went to the soft open of Nooch Vegan Market.  Thank the gods this place exists.  I picked up some Teese Cheese, soup mixes and sweet treats.  They are going to be carrying Denver Seitan Company soon, which makes me all kinds of happy.  It’s a bit of a trek from our place, but totally worth it.  The Denver vegan scene continues to surprise me in it’s size.  I love this place.

IT’S OPEN! I hope I get a chance to go this week. Holy balls this is amazing.

Another thing I forgot to post: City O’ City happy hour on Saturday. I had a drink special that was Goat vodka with lemonade and Earl Grey and Lavender simple syrup, and a Bloody Mary. We also got to try one of their happy hour foods, the kimchi torta, which was pretty decent besides being pretty charred and a bit on the greasy side. I decided Caesar salad would balance it out, and ended up getting so full I thought I was going to barf.

Here’s something exciting: Nooch Vegan Market is hinting at something. Opening this week, perhaps? I hope so!

Yesterday after work, feeling uncreative, we went to City O City again and I got the La Osa salad: “Mixed greens, dried apricots, chickpeas, red onion, avocado tossed in jalapeno lime citronette with crispy corn chips.” Not bad.

Later we dropped by Nooch Vegan Market for their Kickstarter party. I only took one picture because I always feel weird taking pictures of people without asking. Anyway, the Speakeasy was there serving drinks, the Vegan Van was outside (Amie was selling Beet Box goodies along with her food!), it would have been a really fun party to stay at for a while. Unfortunately I have to work today, and it’s promising to be a hectic day, so I couldn’t drink much or stay late. It was nice to see Nooch’s location, though. I can’t wait until it’s open!

Nooch Vegan Market is going to be amazing! They have a location now, so help them open! There are also some pretty sweet prizes if you pledge. I figure I’ll be spending all my money there once it opens anyway, so I may as well start right away, right?

So I have no idea what this Nooch deal is, and there’s no message button on the page for me to find out more, but I am intrigued. So if one of you Nooch people sees my reblog, you ought to contact me and tell me more about it.

For any Denverites who haven’t attended the Neat Market, I highly recommend it, even if you don’t happen to be vegan. Also, tonight at 7 is the Plants and Animals Chomp! dinner 2nd anniversary. I’m excited and hungry.
